 Lodging FAQs

  • FYDOLAND requires a 2 DAY cancellation notice on all non-holiday lodging reservations. Failure to properly cancel can result in a fee equal to 2 nights’ stay of the lodging package you reserved. When reservations aren’t cancelled in the proper time, it prevents us from booking that space to another customer.

    Our cancellation policy during Holiday Lodging and Spring Break is 5 DAYS. Failure to do so can result in a fee equal to a 2-Night Stay of the lodging package reserved. This includes early holiday pick ups and changes to drop off at a later date than originally scheduled. All cancellation and changes must be called in no later than 5 days before the change in reservation.

    Please be kind to us, and we’ll do the same in return. We understand things can change.

  • FYDOLAND will be closed for the following holidays. Our staff will be on-site taking great care of your pet, but the office will be closed.

    Holiday lodging requires a valid credit card on file.

    If booking for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year holiday, a 2-night minimum stay is required. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we completely book up and have a substantial waiting list. It is imperative that proper cancellation policies are followed so that any client who is on a waiting list can be accommodated. If policies are not respected, your credit card will be charged the equivalent of 2 nights stay in the accommodations that you had requested. We appreciate you understanding and respecting our policies.

    Professional Care: FYDOLAND has trained and experienced staff members who are knowledgable about dog behavior, health, and safety. We can provide proper care and attention and are regulated by the Ilinois Department of Agriculture. Pet sitters are not regulated. We also have a proven track record having been taking care of dogs since 2008!

    Security: Our facility has strict safety protocols in place to ensure the well-being of the dogs in our care. We have fire alarms, sprinkler systems, secure fencing, surveillance systems, and trained staff members who can respond quickly to any emergency or unusual situation.

    Peace of Mind: Leaving your dog in a reputable lodging facility an provide peace of mind, knowing that your furry friend is being looked after by professionals who are trained in so many areas of dog care. This can be especially comforting for owners who may have concerns about their pet's specific needs or behavior.

    Convenience: We are dedicated to offering spaces designed specifically for housing and caring for dogs. We offer amenities such as clean indoor and outdoor play areas, comfortable sleeping quarters, grooming services, personalized play plans, swimming, which may not be available in another place or in-home setting.

    Socialization and Enrichment: We offer opportunities for dogs to interact and play with other dogs or have a specialized 1 on 1 day plan personalized to their needs and abilities.

  • We assess all dogs prior to their stay with us. We want to make sure all dogs who come to us are happy and comfortable. Assessments can be scheduled week days between 9am to 11am. Please call us at 844.438.3936 and we will be happy to help you.

  • All dogs must have Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella.

  • The minimum age is 4 months old

  • As long as we know the two dogs do well together without incident, they may share a suite.

  • Absolutely not. Feeding and giving meds are part of quality care and we do not charge extra for those services.
